Biography
Nate Ogle is a skilled trial lawyer and client advocate with extensive experience serving clients throughout East Tennessee. Born and raised in Seymour, Tennessee, Nate attended the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and earned his degree in Philosophy from the College of Arts and Sciences in 2010. He then went on to pursue his law degree at the Appalachian School of Law, where he distinguished himself with his achievements in both trial practice and appellate advocacy and graduated in 2013.
Nate began practicing law in 2013, focusing on criminal defense, family law, and general civil litigation. In 2014, he was hired to serve as a trial prosecutor in the District Attorney General’s Office for the 6th Judicial District in Knoxville, Tennessee, where he spent eight years handling a wide range of cases, from minor assaults and drug offenses to internet crimes, sexual offenses, and murder. During his time as a prosecutor, Nate personally tried over 40 jury trials in Knox County criminal courts, including multiple high-profile cases involving sexual crimes and homicide. His peers in the legal community consistently voted him a Top Attorney in CityView Magazine.
Today, Nate is known for his fearless, dedicated advocacy on behalf of his clients at Burks & Ogle. He handles a wide variety of cases, including criminal defense, criminal appeals, family law, personal injury, and other civil litigation matters in courts throughout East Tennessee.
When he is not in court, Nate is a devoted husband and father of three. He is a member of the Hamilton Burnett American Inns of Court, an organization dedicated to legal excellence and mentorship. He also belongs to the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Federalist Society, a conservative and libertarian legal organization. Nate serves on the Judicial Committee of the Knoxville Bar Association.
